Running in Melbourne
I managed to squeeze in some time to run around Melbourne.
Running in the early morning, 6am,
the 10 degree cold winds made the run really comfortable,
even though i was covered from head to toes in my track suit..
Well, i actually intended to head out for a run the moment i reached Melbourne,
but that was like 2am, Melbourne time, and my room mate advised otherwise,
so i did some calisthenic exercises in the luxurious comfort of the hotel room instead..
Running in the early morning, the streets are fairly quiet and i wasn't really surprised that there were actually many more runners and cyclist doing their morning workouts there..
The Aussies really have a culture for fitness and this is definitely evident from the amount of people that I've seen, doing lunch time workouts over the past 2 days..
This is definitely one thing that we don't see often in Singapore and definitely one of the goals that training-buddy aims to achieve..
What surprises me, is the fact that they can do the workout in clothing that i normally wear in Singapore.. oh my.. they must really have no fear of the cold at all!!
Running in a foreign country, makes the run more interesting and less tiring.. In a short one hour, i think i covered a big part of the city in comfortable pace.. Its also a really good way to explore the area..
Would you find new places to run?? Pack your running shoes for your next holiday!! =)Labels: Callisthenic Exercises, city, comfortable, Fitness, melbourne, pace, running, training-buddy
